hehe...I crack me up. I WISH i had the money to be more of a track junkie. I'm tryin to get another track day here withing the next month or two i really miss it.
If you wanna check out a badass suspenion, go check out progess suspension (they have a site someplace sorry i don't have it on me right now). Their coilovers they make rock plain and simple. Very well suited for 4th gens, not to bad on the street i suppose but take to racing like ducks to water. They even make spherical ball bushings if you really wanna get crazy. They cater alot to 88-91 civics because they have one for a race car in F production...you can watch Speedchannel when they show SCCA runoffs and you can see the car on TV hehe. Lastly a rear sway bar will do worlds for your handling.
ANYWHO, for brakes, the stock system does really well once its built up a little. If you really want more braking power I'd say get bigger front rotors first that would be more helpful than rear disc. My car so far is just bremo OEM rotors, axxis pads, goodridge steel braided lines, ATE dot 4 superblue brake fluid, and i rebuilt my rear drums. On this setup my brakes barely faded at all. Someday i'd like to get EX front disc THEN maybe i'll get CRX or integra rear disc conversion, followed by a integra mastercyclinder...or something along those lines.
And finally for the motor, yea I feel for ya in your 1.5...hell my Si was barely able to do anything down the straights, i can't imagine a DX hehe. But its not about straight line power all the time. If your lookin into a good motor to use, like a B18 outta a teg LS would be cheap and with a few light bolt on's...fast enough to scare a few cars on the track. Just be careful, my friend stuck a SiR tranny to his LS and with the torque and short gearing its way to much shifting.
Umm...off the top of my head thats all i can recall for ya. If you wanna talk more just post it on up hehe...in the meantime, i'll whore myself out and show a pic of me beating up on two ITB VW GTi's...ok well I only outran them for like 3 seconds till we hit a turn hehe.
