I found this kit and had to have it since it was a BMW

I also couldn't resist the fact it was a Procar (M1 in race trim). I wanted to do this in a pretty unique paint scheme as most of the M1s were in standard BMW Motorsports livery. I decided to replicate the Any Warhol Art car that actually raced at LeMans.

I studied photos from various sources and even got some pictures from the 1/18 models released by BMW itself. Warhol painted the car in less that 90 minutes but I would end up spending a lot longer than that to replicate all the 'finger paints' that he put into the paint
I built the chassis, interior and engine to spec with some stretched sprue ignition wires. I got all the paints I needed and after testing techniques on scrap plastic, I determined the best way to replicate the squiggles was to use a toothpick and scribe the still wet paint with the correct markings.
It took me about 6 hours to complete the painting. It was relatively easy once I got into a rythym.
I'm happy with the way it turned out even though the scheme looks like a kid did it in kindergarten

The only thing I may add is the numbers from when it raced. The kit itself went together pretty well for a Revell.
And here is the finished product:
