Re: 86 305 rear oil seal change

An 86 should have a one piece seal. You do not have to remove the seal housing to do so. Remove the transmission, then the flexplate. You will see two notches near the seal where you can wedge a screwdriver down into it - then pull outward on the seal and it should come right out. Use the proper size seal driver to install the new one.
