My 2000 Mustang normally runs great. Recently the right turn indicater light will glow (not blink) (outside blinkers do not turn on) and within a few seconds the engine will die. Usually happens at speed. Has happened in the morning after only a few miles and at night after driving most of the day. Does not matter if the outside temp is hot or cool.
When it starts the engine sputters. Feels like it is starving for air or fuel. It dies. Will restart but dies again when put in gear. Usually after 3 or 4 restarts it will work fine for a week or so.
I've taken it to 2 independent mechanics and the Ford dealer. No diagnosis from any of them. Computer does not throw a code. Fuel pressure is fine and they say all of the wiring looks good. Friends have said the computer is probably the culprit.
Any thoughts from anyone. Thanks for any input.
