Welcome to AF.

Could be a wiring issue or something else. Do you have access to test equipment like a meter (DMM)? When engine running what voltage do you have for alternator output (big red wire - B+)? The battery charge warning light is activated by the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM receives the input from the alternator at Generator Term. L. Red wire at the electrical connector that plugs-in.
