How do I tell? The knock is repetitive and is about a 360 per second frequency (about 6 knocks per second) and increases with increased RPMs. I have been advised on another forum that it may be a lifter that kind of got "stuck" if it has lost some oil since it took me about a week to close up the engine and it was opened without the rockers installed for that period of time. I have checked all the rockers but I never gave the engine a chance to warm up yet and come to operating temperature. Maybe if it's a lifter keeping it in high RPMs for a little bit of time will let the oil pump into it and unstick it... At least that's the theory for today...
