Any other clues would be helpful. Where do you hear the noise coming from? Front left? Rear? When does it happen? Accelerating? Only when cold? At idle? During braking? Certain speeds?
Also, any other symptoms? Rough idle? Vibration? Smells? Car pulling to one side?
Any mechanic would be asking the same questions and they'd have the advantage of having the car in front of them whereas we do not. We'll try the best we can...the more info you give the better answer we can return.
