I usually spray the interior. Not because of the results, but because it saves time.
I actually get more realistic results with brush paints, thinned a little bit. A mix of flats and glosses work well for leather and vinyl.
Also, try using flocking material or fuzzy fur on the carpets. It looks great when its done, and it`s very realistic.
