Well, it has been almost 3 weeks of continuous use and the truck works just fine, except for the extra low idle when it is warmed up, but I can't fix that anyway so I just leave it alone.

I did swap out the ignition switch, fully enjoyed the fact that it is mounted ON TOP of the steering column which made it extra hard to get out and replace. I also installed a transmission fluid temperature guage. Everything seems to work fine. I have no idea why the truck quit that day and it hasn't done anything wierd since.

I give UP !! ( It'll probably quit again when I'm 53 miles east of Timbuktu...)
