The BCM is not involved, the Cluster reads right from the Class 2 Bus which I didn't know for sure. But you will still need to get the PCM edited by someone, or your self if you know how to reprogram one. The LA1 (base Engine) PCM isonly programmed to recognize 0 and 1 from the sender (whether the pressure is ok or not), not a value like the L36/L67 ones are. I don't think that would be too difficult though.

ok then thanks,so do i still have to change the oil pressure switch or just get the pcm reprogrammed?
