We just got a 2001 GT sedan (non-limited edition)- a beautiful car!.. w/ 85k miles.. AWD of course- auto trans. 2.5L 4cyl, non-turbo.
We get bout 21 MPG 70% Buffalo city traffic w/ 87oct gas.
My wife drives it to work and back, and now I am putting 89oct in it to see if we can get a little better MPG. I also pumped up the non-original FUZION HRi tires to 1PSI above recommended when I saw they were down from 1 to 3 PSI around the car. The fronts get 32, the rears- 30. I put 31 in the rears and 33 in the fronts. It also needs an oil change, and a general factory dealer check-up on all fluids and systems.. but it seems to be working perfectly and all fluids I checked were spot on.
I imagine w/ more highway driving we would get better MPG as long as we aren't doing 85MPH, a manual transmission would help too.
EDIT- here are some pics just for the heck of it.. What a great car.
