i didnt have a boost gauge at the time. and know i cant even use it now that i got it. the turbo i got said it can easily do 25 psi, but the wastegate was set to 8. i dont know a whole lot about turbos yet, but i dont see 8 psi destroying rings on a 250 mile motor. its almost brand new. i know 25 psi is ALOT and would never knowingly run that on stock internals. i talked to a ci-motorsports mitsubishi tech and he told me the hastings ring set works great on stock pistons. i want to know from all of you what are the must haves for daily driven turbo cars? do i need a safc and other controllers, or are these just for making more power?
