Re: 2006 grand caravan electric door lock

I'm speaking generically. I haven't removed a panel on an 06. To get it started I use two putty knives. I slip one between the trim panel and the frame at the bottom or where accessable, slide it left/right till I find a clip, then I slip the other knife on the other side of the clip. Just pry and pull till it detaches. Once you get a couple loose you can get your hands behind the panel and slowly and carefully pull the panel loose popping the clips loose as you go. Should be around 15 clips. There may be a screw under a plug near the middle of the panel. The top of the panel may just slip into a channel to secure it. Pull up and it should come out. Once you get the panel off you will have to remove a plastic inner liner. If you rip it just apply heavy duty tape.

Not sure how an 06 is set up but, if there are small contacts on the edge of the door, try cleaning them with a pencil eraser. These contacts carry voltage to the lock solenoid. Push on the door and try the lock. They may be misaligned or loose.
