I'm rebuilding a holley 4160 4 barrel and have a question. In the secondary side fuel bowl there is a metering plate instead of a metering block, between the metering plate and the carb body are 2 gaskets, between the gaskets there is supossed to be a thin piece of metal called a secondary metering body plate. During the teardown of this carb I found that this plat was not there. My question is, "Do I have to have this thin metal plate in the carb or can I get away without it? What does it do? Any help would be great! Thanks.
