I need to clear a bit my resin stash and.... simply I'm not able to sell anything, I love so much my little resin sons...
So I thought to do some quick kerbside OOB projects, just the "right" amount of details, and some experiments in a new area, but you'll discover later.
I got some trouble masking the 1K clear ever with the dammn 3M tape but at last everything gone well with an accurate sanding>polishing.
quickly:
The Gandini design is well captured by Chiappatti: he's famous for his 1/43 Stratos, the size is not so far from the Hase's Stratos but looks more "badass", massive... eventually a good brick of resin
I got it quickly done: flat automotive bases, Zero's Philips R5 Red (plus a drop of black) and Z' black, followed by a couple of 2K clear hands, sanded at #2000 grit (wet), than I applyed decals. I thought was better spray the red insthead to use the R43 decals to avoid coverage issues.
Than I covered all with a couple of great 1K hands, sanded a bit, polished with meshes..
Than I masked upper surfaces to apply the matt (Vallejo Air Satin) to the black (I applied decals on the gloss black to avoid silvering troubles)
the "BUT":
as expected (well I hoped not but I knowed the thing....) the tape released texture on the clear..
ok the result after a last polishing was ok
You'll see at the left side the effect before the polishing.
I sanded and polished all the gloss area and the result is good yet. Lucky me!
Few other details and then the experimentation: (ok I post this one since we have a storm every afternoon here and I'm worry to lost all the post...)
see you here after the pubblicity break
