from the pics, i suspect your gloss coat is not thick enough to support any polish rubbing...maybe the next model you lay a few more gloss layer & rub it evenly, the result will be even better...especially in the way you picture your models, man you do a pro photographer job!!!

For all of my models, i either use spraycan or airbrush for coloring.
As for this ferrari, i used air brush. For some reason, the paint layers are quite soft, so soft that if you applied too much pressure handling it, it will leaves a fingerprint....so i have a hard time trying to polish it with compound. There are some that i left it to dry for at least 2 months...but the result is still the same --- paint is soft. is it the ratio of acrylic paint and thinner that i used? or is it the moisture? Thanks!!
