Hi
I'm kind of new. I have been reading all the posts about shifting issues with a Lumina z34. The only thing I have not seen anyone come back to say the fixed the issue. I have an automatic the engine is really strong and the car idles and drives like its new. I have changed the fuel pump and fuel filter myself. I have found that I was not getting any vaccum. So I found by the Map Sensor a connecting unit that the map sensor connects to was cracked. I found a new from a autoparts place in Michigan. Changed that and checked all vaccum lines and found that the metal or steel line under the 3.4 cover was blocked. I used a high pressure air cleaner and made sure all the guck and blocked particles was out until nothing else was coming out. After that i had vaccum. But the car still does not shift good. But it is better than before. Now I have a VSS sensor and the 3 shift solenoids to put on. I have not replaced these yet because the solenoids looks like a big job. The VSS is located near the altenator but is very hard to reach. Can someone let me know if someone has found out the issue of this.
Please let me know from Montreal Canada.
Thanks
