So i went into work today, and my manager said he wanted a word.
Told me that there isn't a place for me in the workshop, so i'm out of a job. He told me that at the end of the week i'll be given a week's notice. I'm not sure how they figured that there isn't a place for me. i'm one of three competent technicians. i do my job. i turn up everyday on time, i work through lunch most days and stay late everyday working.
I left about half an hour after being told that. took my tools and went home.
What's more stupid is that they employ three fucking monkeys that can't tell their asshole from their earhole. they can barely manage fitting tyres and exhausts. whereas i do a lot of in-depth work, and have my own tools. i deal with customers, help explain things to people on the phone when the guys at the desk can't and generally do a lot more than my job really involves.
My manager told me it's nothing personal. what difference does that make? at the end of the day, i'm still out of a job and still have bills to pay. i'm quite pissed over this and wanted to vent.
