Are you figuring having the filter on the end of the IC then the other end going to the intake? You will have no gains with that because the air is blowing into the filter and going through the core. The air temp at the filter and the core is same temp (ideally if filter is where a CAI would be). The air since it's not moving at a fast rate, just sits and takes it time going through the core and will actually warm up (depending on air temp).
Basically, no.
