Welcome to AF.
If you can, try to spray a bit of WD-40 or penetrating oil to the back of the bolt, where the exposed threads are, if you can.

Next, are you sure you have the right Torx bit? Some belt bolts use a #50, some use a #55. Get the biggest that will fit.

Next, get a really good quality bit, one with a lifetime warranty.

There are lots of cheap Torx bits out there that simply will not do the job, so get one from a really good retailer, such as Sears, Snap-On, etc. Their bits are more likely to peel the bolt apart before breaking.
