Re: 88 Chevy Truck

This may sound like a stupid question but here goes.

I disconnected the wiring harness and ECM in my 88. (this is the only year of the c/k i have really messed with) And I started to remove everything for my parts truck (93, I haven't taken it apart because it still runs and drives.)

The wiring harness obviously is different, I knew I would have that, but there is an extra chip??? behind the glove box. It's white and was velcroed on to the backside of the dash. What is that? It connects to the wiring harness in the dash, do I need to change this too??? I really don't want to, as I just got a new cluster for my 88, and the connections are different than the 93.
