I have a 96' Grand Caravan and now it has the EXACTLY the same problem as '65 Polara's van.

It happened on the front left wheel too! It smell and smoked badly when the problem happened for the first time. I had the caliper changed and thought the problem was solved. But a few weeks later it smell and smoked again! I went back to the workshop and the mechanic couldn't figure out why. He just replaced with a new caliper due to warranty. Now it happened again!

The situation was that the brake wasn't always clamped. Even it smell and smoked in the evening it was OK the next morning. In winter time it only happened after a long drive. But recently it happened after only a few kilos. I'm not sure if '65 Polara had the same problem.

Anyway I'll show this post to my mechanic and ask hime to replace the hose. I'll come back and let you guys know if it works.
