I'll bet raised white letter tires would also look good on these cars
. I put some Dunlop RWL on my Roadmaster and it dresses it up a bit. My '90 Lesabre has the blackwalls out and it looks okay just as long as the tires are clean. What drives me nuts is those people who drive down the road with the blue protective coating still on their whitewalls
. It's like they're saying, "Hey look at me and my new tires!"
You'd think the tire installer would take a few extra minutes and remove it before the vehicle leaves the shop. If you leave that stuff on the tire too long it makes it more difficult to remove.
