I agree. The universe is governed by the natural laws (physics, chemistry etc.) Any religious explanation about a deity creating anything is ludicrous.
There are hundreds of popular religious explanations about the creation of the universe. Many are contradictory and they cannot all be right. There is no evidence to support any of these stories so IMO none are true.
I am perfectly willing to believe that in all the billions of galaxies out there, with each galaxy having average 100 million or so stars each, there is at least one race of beings that are superior to humans, that have developed on at least one of the planets out there. But did they create the universe?? Probably not.
