Hi Kristi, Most likely your driver's door light switch has failed. This switch, which turns on the overhead light, also signals that the door is open and, if the headlights are on, causes the alarm to sound. It has a rubber covering and is located on the door jamb. Carefully remove the covering and find a single bolt that holds it on. Remove the bolt and the two wires on the switch and replace with a new one in the reverse order. I hope that this helps. I'm not sure if the auto locking is related but could be.
