I think the jury is out on the acetone issue. Most people seem to recommend that you do your own analysis and decide for yourself. Begin a log and record your mileage for a month or so, then begin adding acetone into your tank and gauge the results.
I believe the consensus is that too much acetone will actually reduce your mileage, but there is no way to determine what mixture you should use other than trial and error. Start with small amounts and discontinue use if you observe any negative symptoms.
There are some people that say acetone will damage your engine, so use it at your own risk.
