I assume you mean that the headlights don't come on automatically when it gets dark?
Make sure the knob is in the correct position, it's easy to bump it with your knee when you get in or out of the car. After that, check the light sensor. It is located in the defrost vents forward of the steering wheel. Look up there in the vents, you'll see it. Cover it with a piece of cardboard and see if the headlights come on, and the instrument cluster lights dim. It takes about a minute for it to respond, so be patient. If nothing happens, that might be your problem.
