Teh "black thing" is the air dam which is critcal to these cars, without it your in for problems. Also make sure there is no levaes or debris inbetween the a/c condensor and radiator. This should be merged with you heater thread, that I jsut repied to and a re probably related.
Further more, what "block sealant"? Please don't say barzleaks, that's eninge death on a stick
