Question D15B1 block D16Y7 head swap ?

I know a guy who blew up his engine (rod) in his '88-'91 Si. He has a D15B1 '88-'91 STD block with a bad head. He also has a '98 Civic with a D16Y7, bad short block. He isn't sure if the Si head is any good, so he might have to use the Y7 head on the STD block. Obviously the Si head would be a piece of cake, but I'm lost on the Y7 thing. Is putting the Si intake manifold going to require any fabrication? What about the distributor, which one should he use? I'm assuming that the Si distributor won't just bolt right up to the Y7 head, or is that a poor assumption? I know the '92-'95 B7 distributor bolts right up to the Y7 head. I've tried searching, and will continue to, I just seem to have lost my link to a 4th gen block to 6th gen head swap. Any help is greatly appreciated.
