this thread. They're more about what can be done than really about how to do it, but much of this stuff is best learned by experience.
Sherline puts out
this book. It's maybe a bit pricey (like alot of stuff in this hobby!

), but it's a rather nice introduction to what can be done and how to do it. It's worth getting if you're at the 'thinking and considering' point.
