Electrical problems 96 Astro 4,3 AWD

Hi.
I have a problem with my 96'Astro and hope you can help me with this one: The fuel pump did not start at all, so I replaced it ( because I was told this was a common problem with this cars, and the car started when spraying motorstarter). The fuel pump still did not start so I started to look for problems with the fuel pump relay. I can not messure power on any of the pins, but the fuel pump starts when making a shortcut for the battery to the fuel pump wire (grey) I suppose i should have messured power on the orange wire but I do not. When adding power from the battery to the orange wire on the relay, the fuelpump seems to run like it should. Also my wife tells me that when she changed lights form blend to full the engine almost stopped and the engine warning lamp blinked. This tells me that it probably is some bad connections or a bad switch somewhere, but where should I start looking? Since we are living in Norway, the support here is not so good.
