Re: 1989 c1500 remote start

First- see if your alternator is charging properly- with a votmeter- on battery- does it produce 13 or more voltage with engine running? as well as with engine running when remote started? if so-- continue below..

Sounds like your alarm is draining your battery- from relays that are always energized-- to test:

pull all remotes start/alarm fuses-- does truck start the next morning? this will tell you the alarm is the problem or not--

If truck started above- then do a battery draw test- put a DVM (digital volt meter) in amps mode and between your battery and the battery hot wire- if it pulls more than 50 ma after about 10 minutes- then this is the drain that is killing your battery-- next pull the alarm fuses- see if drain drops down to about 20 ma- if so - this is the cause- the alarm-

If alarm is the cause- look for relays that energize (click) when the alarm fuses are plugged in- if so then the alarm install is wrong- relays should not be energized while the car is off and sitting for awhile- this creates battery drain.

you probably have a starter interrupt relay- this may be wired wrong and creating the draw.....let us know....
