I do not know what a pinion seal is or its location. I will look in a repair manual to educate myself and try to see for myself where the leak is actually coming from. At this point I am just taking the mechanics word for it, which is not always a good situation for an ill informed customer.
A little more history on the vehicle, this is not the first time I have had the front diffierential seals replaced. They were done about 4-5 years ago. I hate to pay for them again. But if it is something like a $10 part and an hour of labor, that does not sound too bad to me. I will look into it.
