Ok I pulled the little cover off the hole on the timing belt cover and the pulley is turning while the engine is cranking. So Its not a broken timing belt? Can the pulley or timing belt jump teeth? It fired once and popped back through the intake. When it tuns over it sounds like a lack of compression. The engine was overheated prior to this happening but still started twice after. Now its not going to start at all until I can figure out what is wrong. How much tolerance do these engines have to overheating? Also, how do I tell if the engine is dual overhead or single overhead cam? It is 16 valves but there is only one pulley that the timing belt goes around on the top of the engine.
I see many people have read my post but know one has responded. If Someone can direct me to where I can find the info I need that would also be of help.
