I was once told if you spray the end of the injector with carb cleaner and a little air you could clean up any dirt that might be in there.

That's true. I believe if they're going to be sitting out for awhile you can even dip the ends to let the harder parts soak and dissolve. Don't quote me on that though.

And the tank of F.I. cleaner never hurts to do anyways.
