Sounds like you need to recheck the alignment of the belt on all the pulleys as it sounds one of them isn't on straight. Whether it's a serpentine or v belt neither should "walk off" the pulleys. If it's on straight on all the pulleys then either the ribs or just the groove in the pulley keeps it straight.
