The 86 was actually a 3rd gen civic.
The lightest in each year is the crx hf, and the years go from 88-91 in order of weight. So if your looking for the lightest 4th gen you want an 88 crx hf. I believe that guy comes in somewhere around 1819 lbs.
The lightests hatchback will be the std, which came with a 4spd. And the 4 door would be the dx I believe.
