The way I changed mine out was through the passenger wheel well. Jack the car up, support it with jackstands and pull the wheel off. You have to reach past the power steering hoses with one hand (I used my left hand). You can't see it and reach it at the same time. Use a flashlight to see where you need to go before you reach in. I had my son lay under the car and guide my hand, with a 1/4" drive rachet and deep socket, to the sensor. The sensor, as you know, is in an unbelievably bad location. I have heard of unbolting the top motor mounts and rotating the engine forward to access the sensor, but I haven't tried that method.
