There is no adjustment on the clutch, PER SE. This clutch is hydraulic and self adjusting as far as FREE PLAY is concerned. If the clutch had a mechanical linkage, one would have to adjust the free play in the clutch. You need a certain amount of free play so the pressure plate can release fully and squeeze the clutch disc between the flywheel and itself. But also so the throwout bearing doesn't turn all the time and quickly wear out. Now here is a very real possibility. Whoever installed the clutch may not have gotten the hydraulic clutch bled properly. In this case you would have too much freeplay. With too much freeplay the throwout bearing won't push the release arms on the pressure plate far enough to free the clutch disc so the input shaft on the transmission can stop turning so you can shift gears. If the clutch is bled properly, when you are stopped and in first gear, the truck shouldn't start to move until you let the clutch pedal out about two inches(estimate). Have I got you thoroughly confused yet? Post back with any questions. Edited: I originally stated throwout bearing in one place where I should have said pressure plate.
