haha...Dude I am pretty much asking the same question.
From the research I have done, 2.25" is about the largest you would want to go in a 4th gen, and maybe smaller if you have a stock motor. A larger pipe isn't necessarily better as it will reduce backpressure. This is desireable if your motor kicks out more HP (like a b16!!), but I think can decrease performance on a d15 for example.
