Yea, $750 seems quite reasonable, considering today's gas prices. I paid more than that for mine and it had 178,000. I rebuilt the engine at 207,000 and replaced the tranny with a JDM. With 207,000 the rings still had a .015 end gap. The bottom ends seem to hold up real well in these, as long as good oil has been in them the whole life span. The top ends seem to have issues though. A reconditioned head is only $200.00, so if it has a burned valve, it may still be worth buying and fixing. A compression test is still a good idea. Good luck. I hope you find what you want in it.
