First thing that I would check is where the radio first antenna lead connects to the second antenna lead. It's under the center consol passenger side trim, on the floor. It's a big connecter that looks kind of like a gutar amp connecter. It's unshieled and may be grounding out against the frame. Wrap it in some electrical tape. If it doesn't help unplug the connecter and see if it goes away. At least that will give you an idea of what section of antenna wire to replace.


Unlikely but can happen, check the back side of the radio by the antenna lead, it has a short section that can ground out also.

The rear defroster has a large current draw so it can make some strang things happen. Good Luck
