Is there a way to find out from the engine number what model of car an engine was made for? Or might there be an easier way to cross reference what the differences in the wiring harnesses might be?
I'm not a complete idiot but I'm definitely not an automotive electrician either. Wiring diagrams and schematics are a bit over my head. Any help would be really appreciated.

What i would is verify the new engine has a mount/hole/whatever same as old engine for every sensor and such from old engine, then swap all the old engine parts onto new engine, and use old engine harness..
