did you burn through alot of pencils on this one?

Also, what size is it? it seems like you didnt have to cram any detial into it, and you shure have alot of detail
It's not colored pencils. It's just regular grapite stuff. I didn't use that much pencil on the drawing. Most i used ended up in the bin because i had to sharpen so often to keep a nice sharp point to the pencil. For the details in the wheels and some reflections and things i used 0,5 mm mech pencils.

The size isn't as big as you might think. The car is drawn on a normal A3 sized piece of paper. The height of the car is equal to a normal pencil minus the erasor tip (exactly 15 cm or 5,9 inch).

The amount of detail isn't subject to the size of the paper but to the amount of time you put in.

I used:

Pencils

H: bonnet
HB: bonnet, wheels, windshield, roof, mirrors, rear panel, ...
2B: door, wheels, front bumper, mirrors
3B: air intakes, tyres, roof, mirrors, bonnet, door, rear panel
4B: air intakes, wheel arches, window trims, tyres

Erasor

kneadable erasor
plastic/rubber erasor

Paper

Canson Bristol Smooth A3

Time

Around 60 hours

Except for the paper (€7,70 for 20 sheets) everything comes from the local bookstore. So i think all together this one costed around 3 to 4 euros to produce because i didn't use up the erasor or pencils so i can use them for more than one drawing.

This was all one big experiment and i have to admit that i am pleased with how it turned out. I see dozens of things that i don't like, but overall i am happy with how it looks so far and with how much i learned.
