there's nothing particularly "wrong" or bad with the idea, you just don't see it much because of space and cooling issues. One of the most awesome ones I have seen was the where the guy cut out the floor pan in the front and made a sunken tray then a fale floor on each side. That's where he put the amps. I want to say it was Chad Klodner's old mustang.
