Generally having a TPS is a good thing, especialy if your car is ment to have one.

But if its not working then its a bad thing, and despite the fact that you havnt actualy said theres a problem with your TPS im going to assume that there is. (but next time how about giving a few more details.)

If so, then the only real fix for your Civic is to replace the whole throttle body.
The TPS is calibrated when its assembled, and its not possible to seperate it from the Throttle body, and replace it with another one, as you can't recalibrate them.
