Slotted - Maintains the rotors strength. Performance oriented. Used by the majority of guys who Auto Cross their cars.
X-Drilled - Helps keep the rotor cool, less chance of warpage when used in street applications. Great upgrade from stock. Less fade when braking at high speed.
Slotted + X-Drilling - Over kill. Mostly for looks only. The slots help with performance, the x-drilling does the same. Doing both to the rotor means you take off a lot of metal thus weakening the rotor slightly.
Indy cars - Solid or slotted
Auto Cross - Slotted (Cross drilled rotors crack in this application)
Street performance - What does Porsch use? X-Drilled!
What do you want to do with your car?
I'm running the Stillen X-Drilled on my 99 SE-L. There awsome. Very smooth & they stop quicker then stock.
