can never have too much torque, perhaps too much gearing, but thats easily fixed, just widen your gears, add torque and you'll pull harder and longer, its all up to the setup, as soon as you get to the point you can floor it, you'll be glad you were smoking the tires (but i'd reccomend practicing your launch

as to the ferrari, yes the Z06 is faster, but its gears arent quite as tall as the ferraris, it doesnt quite need it, nor could it really use it, as its got a lower redline and more torque across the whole powerband. I cant say anything bad about the ferrari engine, jsut that for a V8 its incredibly small, but these are the guys who builts a sub 3L V or boxer 12, so i shouldnt be suprised, with a 8500 RPM redline i dont think it woud work, but a bit more displacement could do wonders. a long stroke alone doesnt mean you cant have a good redline, the Z06's 3.62 has taken a stock engine up to 7500+ with a few supporting mods, rod bolts, valvetrain, etc. but i dont know how long that guys motor lasted, didnt look very high wear though . . .
