For some reason or another, and only the Honda enginers know this, the VTEC change over point is a few hundred RPM to high on the H22, and there is a small drop in torque. It only really shows up on a dyno, and its thought it might have something to do with emissions.

However with a VTEC controller and a good dyno you can lower the change over and get a smother torque curve.
