Starion-Conquest...same thing!!

Both the 'quest and the Starion are the same exact car...minus the emblems and the original sticker price. I've owned an '89 Mits' since 1995. They have a 2.6 4 cyl Turbocharged engine made by mits. It's basically the same block used in some of the chrysler minivans... These cars are great to drive and can be moded very easily. They are rear wheel drive, and for 'bout $4k to $5k you can get about 400+. Stock stats are something like 188hp & about 205 ft/lbs torque. (not sure on the torque). They were a bit heavy though, but were brought in as competition to the rx7, 300z, etc... Not too many are left around. They are also 'somewhat' repair prone... I have hardly driven mine. They tend to have a lot of head problems.

They were first sold in about '84 without the fender flares, and turbo was optional. By '88-'89, the Conquest TSi and Starion ESI-r were the only models available. They had all kinds of standard features like: ABS, security system, leather, sunroof, 16" rims, cruise... All in all, lots of value for the 20K or something price. Right now, you can pick one up for 'bout 3k-6k...
